New photographers! Well, sort of...

These images are by Andre Kertez. I discovered hi because my enlarger last year was named Andre kertez. He has a book called distortion also, except some of the material is inappropriate.



The stairs are so deliciouly simple, yet they remain itriguing and the lighting is SPECTACULAR! After you look at the stairs and then the flowers, you start to notice that there is a hat and jacket behind them. It makes me want to know more about the house that this was taken in, and why there are flowers on the table. Decoration? Funeral? It piques my curiosity.



The fork and the plate. Everyone knows that they go together like peanut butter and jelly, yet he takes that simple concept, and makes it interesting with amazing lighting and very excellent focus. This is a perfect example of simplicity, yet interesting.

I like the off angle-ness of the camera, and the echo shadows. Andre kertez is very good at lighting and shadows, and he succeds alot.
